(NASSCOM) National Association of Software and Service Companies is a trade association of Indian Information Technology and Business Process Outsourcing companies. Established in 1988, NASSCOM is a non-profit organisation.

Recent activities of NASSCOM

It drives growth of the industry in international markets through a combination of policy interventions, market development programs and global partnerships. The India Market Development (IMD) initiative is a market maker for futuristic technologies & verticals in the country.

In a recent news, NASSCOM said that small and medium businesses (SMBs) in India can contribute 30 per cent of the cloud market by 2025.In a survey of 1,000 SMBs in India, NASSCOM found that 60 per cent are already using cloud, though almost half are at early stages of adoption, according to the report findings. In an effort to provide an opportunity for individuals to upgrade their emerging tech skills, including artificial intelligence, NASSCOM has launched a free course on artificial intelligence, in collaboration with the Union IT Ministry.


With a vision to improve artificial intelligence readiness among all individuals in the country, NASSCOM FutureSkills — an online learning platform for the IT industry — jointly with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), launched this initiative where is offering on-demand courseware, which would allow individuals to upgrade themselves till May 15th. The president of NASSCOM, stated that the deadly coronavirus has thrown up unprecedented challenges across the world and industries alike. 

                NASSCOM will set up a warehouse in port city Visakhapatnam under its 10,000 Startups initiative to nurture technology entrepreneurs with innovative ideas. The entrepreneurs will be mentored and funded by venture capitalists and other investors under the NASSCOM initiative.
